Explore the inshore waters of Cardigan Bay West Wales from the catamaran Atlantic Leopard, and see the Cardigan Bay wildlife and rugged coastline at its most stunning.

What you will see

 

The 1 and 2 hour voyages explore the inshore waters of Cardigan Bay, giving a totally different perspective of the stunning West Wales coastline, much of which is inaccessible from the land.
There is a great variety of wildlife in Cardigan Bay, and we offer the opportunity to see the birds and animals at close quarters in their natural environment.
Look out for dolphins following the boat

The experienced and knowledgeable crew provide an informative commentary throughout the voyage and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.


About the Boat
The bowave of the Atlantic Leopard

 

The Atlantic Leopard is a multipurpose craft, which has been designed and built specifically for Coastal Voyages.
The vessel is a 10m-aluminium catamaran, 4.5m across the beam, which provides a very stable platform and comfortable ride even in choppy seas.
 

In addition to carrying passengers, Atlantic Leopard operates as a commercial fishing boat and undertakes scientific research.

The design of the boat allows us to safely carry passengers on working voyages so that we can offer an insight into the fisheries and marine research which takes place in Cardigan Bay.


There is access for disabled persons, including those in wheelchairs, on the boat.

Departure times are dependent on the tidal cycle therefore please call
Aberaeron Sea Aquarium on 01545 570142 where a friendly voice will tell you the times that trips are running and any other information that you may require

What to Wear

You will need to bring warm clothing as the temperature over the sea is often much lower than on land. A windproof/waterproof jacket or coat is advised.
The deck of the boat does get wet, as may your feet, so please wear appropriate footwear.

Bookings are taken at the Aberaeron Sea Aquarium and can be made in person or by telephoning 01545 570142.
If you book by phone you will need to give credit card details.

Cancellation/Refunds

You can cancel a trip and receive a refund or we can try and fit you on an alternative trip providing you give a MINIMUM OF 24 hours NOTICE prior to departure time.
IF YOU FAIL TO ARRIVE ON TIME and miss the boat TICKETS ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
On some occasions we may have to cancel or change the times of trips, this being determined by weather and sea conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. This is entirely at the discretion of the skipper whose primary concern is for the safety of his passengers. Should such an eventuality arise we will endeavour to accommodate you on another voyage or issue a full refund

How to Find Us

Your trip starts from Aberaeron harbour and departures are normally from the quay on the north side, in front of the Aberaeron Sea Aquarium. If there are any changes to this you will be advised at the time of booking.
